my mac recently alerted me to the fact 'mhtmlredir.exploit' had infected my computer, i used norton antivirus to deal with the infected files. ive read that this virus doesn't affect macs but ever since then my mac has been really slow, freezing loads, especially with limewire and i end up having to switch my ibook off by taking the battery out.

is this related or am i paranoid?

also, the mac help doesnt seem to work anymore and im greeted by a blank screen.

thanks
