Basically what my title suggests.

I have a friend that was in a drama on ITV a few months ago. He gave me a dvd-ram disc that he recorded from a dvd-recorder (as in a standalone dvd-recorder i.e. the new video recorder!) on the TV. He wants me to convert the files into mpeg or anyother format, that can be read on the computer.

Any ideas of how I can get this off for him? My powerbook spits the DVD-Ram disc out, and I have had no luck with my two other PC's.

Does a DVD-recorder record discs like that for some reason?

Thanks for your help!

I added a poll if people, don't want to answer me!

It won't read them. 95% sure. I would call a few AASP's and ask if they can help by burning it onto a regular DVD.

If you don't see RAM in the list.. then it doesn't read RAM.
