I purchased lots of apps and books for my original iPad1. Can they all be downloaded again for free on a new iPad3? Do I have to set up the new iPad3 is a specific way to insure I don’t have to pay for everything again?

Make an back-up with iTunes (on your Mac) or iCloud (on your original iPad), start your new iPad and restore your purchases with your Mac (iTunes back-up) or with iCloud (using your Apple ID).
