Im not really sure how to explain it, but ive read that laptops can burn down, if you lay in your bed with having your laptop on a duvet, does this goes for macbooks too?

Probably not a good idea to run any laptop on a soft surface such as a duvet or cushion which will act as an insulator and also block air flow.

I leave my VAIO on the duvet all the time, it get's hand-burningly hot but refuses to overheat, i need an absolute excuse to get a macbook.:D

I use mine on my covers, like with EVERYTHING on. it gets hot. but i just lay my arm under it so some air can escape :) (plus you get a really nice warm arm)

Where I come from we call 'em blankies

I try and use smccontrol but that does nothing it still gets super hot. I guess it helps a little though.

I wouldn't suggest putting it on your lap neither especially if you are not fully clothed it can leave a mark

...or a new duvet to replace the one with scorch marks :D
There is a few burn marks from when i've been smoking, good job the actual duvet isnt flammable. :/
