I have a playstation 2 in my room, and my new 20 inch iMac. My iMac is on the net via wireless network. My Ps2 has an ethernet port, is there anyway I could run an ethernet cord from my imac to my Ps2 and be able to share the connection so i can get online with my ps2? Thanks!

Yes. Run a cord between the two, then go into the "Sharing" option in your System Preferences. Click on the "Internet" tab. Set the "Share your connection from:" option to "AirPort" and the "To Computers using" option to "Built-in Ethernet". Then click "Start".

Is it possible to do the same with my 1.67Ghz Powerbook 17'' as it has an ethernet port too, but connected wirelessly to a router?

Actually, can you play your PS2 on your iMac or PB? Or is it only use as an internet connection to play others?

Yes, you can do the same with the powerbook.

You can't play through your computer.

No, they mean DNAS. :)

If you have the OS X firewall on, it's quite possible that would cause problems.

Or they could be trying to use a modded Ps2 with pirated software. :D
“DNAS” retrieves information about a user’s hardware and software for authentication, copy protection, account blocking, system, rules, or game management and other purposes.
