Can my Samsung G2 portable be a bootable drives for MAC

HI All,

I have a Samsung G2 Portable 320GB external hd and I want use it be a bootable drive for my new mbp. I will use CCC or SuperDuper! either. But I am not sure do my G2 can support be a bootable drive for my mac.

Anyone can tell me ?

If you format it correctly ("Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" as Format and "GUID" as partition map scheme), then it will work.

If it can be formatted in Mac OS journalled with GUID partition then it'll work (check in Disk Utility).
Odds are that it'll work.

I made it ~ I can clone my system to my G2 portable hd. And just tried to boot from the G2, it works although it is very slow...

The slowness is due to the USB interface, which only allows 35MB/s at maximum, more like 25 to 30 MB/s average speed.
