So I was working on things and had to enable the root account. It worked with no problem, set it up, logged out of my account and was able to log in to the root.

A few minutes later, I go back and disable the root account.

After doing what I had to do, I realized it did not work. So I go back and reenable it. I go back to log in as it and this time, it won't let me back in with the root account. I go back and fourth, disable it, re-enable it, change the password and nothing I can do is allowing me to get back into the root account.

I have searched the internet and can't find a way to fix this.

Any suggestions?

Restart? Reset it in single user mode. Why are you using root? There really shouldn't be anything you can't access with using sudo which you should be changing.

I tried rebooting in songle user mode and it brought me into Windows from bootcamp...
