Can print fine with my HP printer across room via wired ethernet..... But cant see the card reader pictures on my compact flash card I entered. It is slow as molasses though. But can live with that l.....
Cant get my old comp, windows comp, to see the ethernet again(#####) and my external card readers pins are bent for the compact flash slot... duh
What am I not doing???

Is the card reader meant to be remotely usable over Ethernet? Is this an advertised feature of the device?

Also exactly what printer? The model number as well as the make...
 
HP printers card reader

Dont know I can access the printer okay..... turned on that windows computer and downloaded the photos to a thumb drive and got them that way. But forgot some of them... Now have to turn back on Energy hog slow Windows computer.
HP big printer model 8700.....
I printed out the long owners manual (since this model was a floor model clearance) BUT cant find where it might mention that part....

Hence the question: it almost certainly can't do that. The card reader probably just lets you print directly from the card.
