i have mac air Lion

i'll install xampp for php

but can not edit in htdocs files

please help me for change permission using terminal

Hey guy, just so you know, you're in the wrong section here, you'd probably get more answers in the web development section, but if you want to access htdocs, just do this:

Right click the htdocs file > click get info > change permission settings in the bottom panel.

The row you want to change is "everyone" to "read and write"

It saves going through terminal if you aren't comfortable using it.

I'm not sure, I haven't had a problem yet, but it might not be ideal. However it was the only way I could get htdocs to work properly. That said, I use a sites folder in my root directory and MAMP, so my setup is a bit different from yours.
