Can not log in to Mac App Store

Hi

I am pretty new to Macbook Pro. I can login to my iTuens using my apple id but from the first day I never can log in to my Mac app store. When I give password, and apple id, it just tell me nothing and nothing happens. I am using MBP 10.6.7 , 4GB RAM.

Can anyone please help?
