Can not mount after downloading

So, I am from Los Angeles and i am studying in china for 3 months. I am trying to get skype so i can talk to my friends back home. I chose skype because it seems the most legit and popular internet phone service. I try to download it and every time it finishes downloading it says can not be mounted. I have never ran into this problem and do not know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix it or any other providers i should go to? Thanks
