Can not print pdf since update

I have deleted the printer - HP Laserjet Pro 400 color 451dn.
Reinstalled.
Now I can print from word, but not a pdf.
Hit print - then printer pauses.
Hit resume and comes up unable to send.

Then I go back into word and now I can not print from word.
Had to delete the printer again, reinstall, then clear out print jobs from the delete key on the printer.
Now it will print from word, but not going to try the pdf thing again until I get some help.

I can open and print with preview, but is anyone else having problems with adobe reader?

Please help
