Can only AirDrop between *my own* devices when AirDrop set to "Everyone"?

rMBP running Yosemite, iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8.1 - I've got my own contact card on both devices, which includes the email address for the iCloud account I'm logged into on both machines (and is tagged as an iCloud contact), and yet I can't AirDrop between the two devices unless I set airdrop to "Everyone"...

Anyone having luck AirDropping between their own devices on "Contacts Only"?
