Can photos and videos taken by iPhone be used as legal proof of dates?

Hello, it seems that photos and videos taken by iPhone contain information such as date, time and location. Can one fake those information such as changing the date and time of the phone and then take the photos and videos? If one cannot fake those information, can the photos and videos be used as proof to show that the events took place on the specific date, time and location.

Obviously the metadata can be changed. However, if you have several photos that follow a contextually believable pattern in terms of time and location, I'd say your case is strong.
