Hi,
my mother-in-laws iMac has developed a strange issue. It will not load ANY website, but I can ping sites successfully from terminal.
She is using a 3G wireless dongle from Three UK for internet access.
I have checked what I can remotely, (using TeamViewer) the proxy settings look fine and I have tried some IP's from OpenDNS, but still the problem persists.
I don't think the issue is with the dongle otherwise I would not be able to remotely connect to her machine.
The other problem is that she's 1.5 hours away, and elderly, so trying to suggest she installs things isn't ideal.
The problem is affecting Firefox AND Safari which makes me think it is an OS X issue rather than a browser issue. She is running Snow Leopard.
Any suggestions as to what else I can try/check?
