Historically I don't believe this has been an option.

However, you could:
  1. Have it shipped to your office or school
  2. Have it held for pickup and then you can drive to the FedEx or UPS location

They have been in the past. I don’t see why that would change.

Even close to launch? I thought this was disallowed.

Love the hold for pickup option. Usually I hold at location (usually the service center) which allows me to pick it up first thing in the morning on my way to work.

Thanks guys : ) I guess I’ll find out tonight! It’s been a few years since I’ve done any preorders. Does Apple ship with fedex or ups? I live in Ohio if it makes a difference.

There’s a fedex 500 feet from my office so I hope it’s fedex :p

right now on apple store app you can't click to see , like the put in bag
but at least your page selection stays up
we will see in 14 hours ;-)

Its been UPS for me in the past.

I think it depends on your local, as I have seen both carriers doing deliveries for Apple. My experience has been UPS.

you are right about location

Now Apple will Fedex over night on some things like getting items fixed

but for pre-order you get a tracking number and then you can tell.

I use the UPS app that gives me a heads-up for when it is on the truck in my local area.
