I had a bit of a mishap with my MBP in which the case was smashed and now is blocking most of the disc drive. However that is a story for another day, and the issue at hand is that I need to access the drive. Can the remote disc function be used on computers other than the MBA? If so, how can this be implemented because I see no way. Thanks.

By the way, I have enabled all of the Sharing preferences to share discs.

In addition would I be able to share a cd and Snow Leopard?

You can't install the OS from a disk in another computer, but you can certainly share a disk. On the target computer, insert the disk and make sure file sharing is enabled ( -> System Preferences -> Sharing). Then, in Finder on your MacBook Pro, go to Go -> Network. Double-click on the icon corresponding to the other computer, enter the username and password of the account on that computer, and select the optical drive.
