Apart from the Series 7, the chargers mechanics have all remained the same.
I still use my original Series 0, 4, 7 & Wireless charger (battery operated) With my remaining watches.

Interested you say except for series 7.
The series 7 situation is really bad.
I had one delivered from Apple Shop on Nov 5th 2021. It charged on every previous series Watch wall chargers and USB A associated charger leads until Dec 13th when update 8.3 was loaded.
Has not worked on any of these since that day.
Apple never admitted the problem they caused until they rolled out 8.4 below which only compounded the issue they admitted they caused with 8.3 with even more customers involved. Still the same problem today despite the 8.4.1 roll out

Apple has rolled out watchOS 8.4.1 just days after it released watchOS 8.4 on January 26. With the watchOS 8.4 update, Apple fixed an issue that prevented some third-party chargers from working with Apple Watch series 7
and some other series.

This statement above of fixing not true

what are you talking about " ... fixing". this thread is about whether or not chargers from previous watch models can be used for the AW7 and it has been correctly answered.
So please stay on topic, your post adds no value to this thread

I am not out for an argument. Beards states that he does not use them for the series 7 but all others.
So you stay on topic

Is it OK to use the Series 3 charger for my Series 7?

I joined this tread because of your specific question. This because many like myself have not been able to since 8.3 update Dec 13 2021.
Not even today.
Have you been able to or have you had to get USB C wall charger please

Use the Series 7 charger for faster charging. And keep the Series 3 charger as a spare.

Please could anyone post if they have not got a USB c place to charge like myself but are still using their old series chargers like nothing has happened.
I would love to be in that position but all stopped Dec 13 8.3
Thanks
