I have bad ankles so can't walk more than 2.5 miles per hour. Will the watch count my treadmill time as a workout?

It likely won’t count it as exercise unless you start an “other” workout. You could try "indoor walk", but that doesn’t give you exercise minutes unless you walk fairly briskly.

Thats what I was thinking. Bummer.

As someone who has used indoor walk on a treadmill with it set at 2-2.5, yes the Apple Watch will count it as exercise. It’s just brisk enough to count

That would be awesome! Still have a few weeks til I get my first Apple watch.
