I have a device with odd behaviour when it comes to charging and I can’t wrap my head around why this would be the case.
The device has a USB-C socket for charging, and has its own USB-A to C cable.
I have 18W and 87W Apple chargers, both with USB-C sockets. If I use either a genuine Apple or Anker USB-C to USB-C cable the device does not charge. If I use a Belkin or Anker USB-C to USB-A adapter and then the cable that came with the device it charges fine. Why would that be? Is there is something special about the cable that came with the device? Or maybe it’s a problem with not negotiating the correct power.
