iPhone 16/Plus Can someone AirDrop to you without permission?

I accidentally set AirDrop to “Everyone” for a minute – is it possible that files could be AirDropped to my phone without permission? Or will the Accept/Decline dialog always pop up?

If you didn't see any file dropped, nothing happened. Set it to either none or contacts only and you will be fine.

Yes, there will be a dialogue that pops up. The only way that dialogue doesn’t pop up is if it’s from the same Apple ID. For example, from another device you have.
