needs to be following format and then turned to plain white.

SVG images​

  • Under 3MB in size
  • Between 150 to 200 pixels wide
  • Saved with an SVG Profile of “SVG 1.1”

Well, went ahead did it using Inkscape, unfortunately MacRumors doesn't allow svg files as attachments...

Probably wasn't exactly you wanted, it's been awhile since I tried my hand with converting raster to vector.

MacRumors allows zip files as attachments. Use the "Compress" command in the Finder "File" menu.

The original image has same strange shading which might be difficult to replicate as vector. Is there a way to simulate heating steel or is a smooth gradient sufficient? The original post said "plain white" so I guess the shading is not required.

That was what I assumed as well?

I should have looked at the forum rules first, though. Not sure threads like this are even allowed? If that's the case, then I could compress and attach as a zip like you suggested, but will wait and see what the verdict is on that score.
