I got my iPhone 3G about a week ago.

On my Usage screen it says:

Call Time:
Current Period: 6 Hours, 27 Mins
Lifetime: 6 Hours, 27 Mins

What does this mean? I assume "Lifetime" means how long I've talked on the phone since I got it, but I'm not sure.

Is current period linked to my AT&T billing cycle? Is that how long I've talking during the current billing cycle, meaning next billing cycle that resets to 0 while the "Lifetime" keeps going up?

Thanks for any information.

"Current period" gets reset if you choose "reset statistics" on the bottom of the usage screen. "Lifetime" will retain its counter even if you choose reset statistics.

I THINK that current period is usage since the last time you reset the stats and lifetime doesn't reset.

I hope to Jeebus that I haven't used my iPhone for 2 Days and 15 Hours since my last AT&T bill. :)
