I'm quite confused about how OSX handles thumbnails. When I open an image in preview and rotate it, the thumbnail does not get updated. As I understand it, this is because preview uses some kind of non-destructive way of editing images.
When I use graphic converter and rotate the image the same thing happens. The thumbnail does not get updated.
When I use the image browser setting of graphic converter however, any rotations I make cause the thumbnail to be updated. When I make rotations in this way GC doesn't ask me to save anything.
So why the difference b/w these three way of rotating images? Also, is there some easier way of making sure my thumbs accurately reflect my picture? Thanks!
