OK so I'm a little confused as to what the "app tray" (the pop-up you get when you double-tap home) is actually showing me. According to some things I have read it is basically just a collection of recently used apps, but others suggest that it's the apps that are currently running in the background - but which is it?
At the moment all my apps (even ones that aren't supposed to be background enabled) are showing up in there - but I don't really want them in there if they are actually still running in the background. This leads me to think that it is indeed merely recently used apps, but in which case how do I know which apps are actually running in the background?
