This may be a bug, or a feature. I don't know. I have read about the new app on other threads but I'm still confused.

I used Photo stream on Mavericks but now, on iOS, your camera roll and photo stream are merged into "Recents" correct? So when I take/download a picture on my iPad it is auto-downloaded to my iPhone Recents right? And vice versa, that appears to be what is happening. But now photo stream doesn't work correctly at times. I took 10 pictures on my iPhone 6 during a class lecture and only three went to my photo stream. The rest are in my "Recents" on my iPhone so my only option is to cable sync them or use OneDrive (or other cloud storage) right? And now deleting them from "recents" also clears photo stream...

This is so confusing for long time iOS users! I wonder how it will work with Yosemite pre and post Photos.app? i don't want my library in the cloud. I just wanted my Photo stream as a method to get my pictures from my iOS device to my Mac for editing and permanent storage. I used Albums and Events in iPhoto for everything else. Ugh...
