Looks like on M1 Macs when playing games you NEED to have Vsync on. What's going on with this? I ran into a game (FFXIV) where if I didn't have Vsync on it'd freeze and I'd have to turn my display on and off to unfreeze it. No rhyme or reason either. Anyone else notice this behavior?

Well the display driver is bugged.

The following is a post from someone who has been speaking with Blizzard's tech support...

Blizzard reckons that there isn’t much they can do. Apple’s driver is crashing.

If you haven’t already logged this with Apple as a bug, please do so. I logged it months ago and there’s been no progress, so we really need multiple people to log it so that Apple can’t ignore the issue so easily.

Blizzard eventually patched the Mac client so that Vsync is on by default and now we wait for the real fix.
