macOS Can someone help me compile an App?

Hello!
This is hardly "development" but it feels more in this section than in the "application" section of the forum.
I am trying to compile this application:

Unfortunately, following the instructions does not give me the required results.

The screenshots indicate I should be left with a double clickable app thing, that should be a menu in the status menubar showing graphs and settings.
What I however am left with is a different menu bar (see screenshot) and a terminal window that must remain open and live for the app to run. Closing the terminal action closes the app.

Is there a way to make it so that the Terminal window does not have to remain open?
(I do not need the fancy graphs etc. its cool, but not needed as much)
