Can someone help me with my project for today?

I have two tones for my phone that I really like.I have successfully made put my ringtone on my phone but I can't get my text tone to work. I have it on my phone and when I select it I can hear it but it doesn't work when I receive a text. The text tone shows up (in iphone settings) with the ringtones and not with the text tones. How can I get my text tone to work? Thanks for any help...

no,not at all. when I select it in the settings I do get the sound

Is it a long sound clip? Maybe there's a limit for how long it can be for text messages.

nope...it's about 1 second...I had the same text tone on my 4s but can't make it work on my 5. I did totally redo the mp3 this time because I lost the old tone from my 4s so I'm not sure if I did something wrong this time. I have it as a m4r
