iPod touch Can someone help me?

Ok, I just got the update 2.0. First I noticed that my itouch is beginging to lag, ALOT especially in my contacts, when I try to scroll it just freezes for a minute. Also, when I send someone an email, using the mail app, (yahoo) it comes to them as an unknown sender, how can I become a known sender? XD. But yeah, my main problem is how I can fix all the laging, oh and everytime I connect my itcouh to my computer, the comp would reconize it, then 10 min later or so it would say it is unreconizable and it wiuld keep switching? What do I do?
