I've had 5S since first day...just upgraded to 7.0.3

I can't figure out what everybody means by "animations."

Thanks for any help.

For the most part it's the zooming in and out motions of things that happens when you unlock the phone, open a folder, launch an app, etc.

Go to settings, general, accessibility, and turn ON reduce motion.

You'll notice the difference.

Now, if only the UI was more responsive when launching apps and pressing the home button. WTF is with that tiny delay?

Can't wait for the jailbreak.

my fiancé's 5s has a longer delay than my iP5 on iOS 7. frustrating to me when I used it the other day.

what is parallax? is that also animations?

No, but it's grouped into the same option for disabling (both are considered motions).

In case your question was what is it entirely, it's the way the background shifts relative to the icons are you rotate your phone away from you (which I'm not sure why you'd do in the first place).

Although, it should be said that when most people complain of the animations, they are more often upset about the massive touch response delay that occurs during and for a moment after each animation.

So what the hell is up with that? Fixing this is my main reason to jailbreak. I want the freaking app/window to open NOW!

I drink a lot of coffee.

There you go.
