I'm selling a new phone on Amazon and someone wants to buy it. I told them it was new and all I did was unlock it and restore it to iTunes and erase all the settings. That's all I did.

But when i put the sim in my email is on the iTunes account setup screen. Why? I have my wifi and my sim in which could be an issue with it showing up. Please help. I really only tried to unlock it.

Is this an official unlock? how did you unlock it?

Don't send your sim with the phone. Keep your sim and only send him the phone, as long as you have already activated the phone he doesn't need your sim.

Other than that, I am not really sure what are you asking.

I don't want my email on there and they say NO IT'S NOT NEW. It is.

It was an AT&T unlock.

I wonder if you hit reset all setting....and not the content one. If you click on the right one I am not sure what could be the problem. a Fluke? try it again? or go in and manually remove your email under settings>mail, contacts, calendars

Just remove the accounts if they are there?

With all due respect, your phone isn't really new. Replace the word "Iphone" with "TV."

You buy a new TV at Best Buy. Take it home, remove it from the box, plug it in, verify it works. You try to sell it on Ebay or Craigslist. I'd be a very unhappy buyer if you sold this as new. Imagine if you simply returned it to the store for a refund. Would they put it back on the floor and sell it as new? Unlikely. Probably be labeled "open box" and sold at a reduced price.

Of course, you can call it new all you want...as long as the seller knows that it's been opened, etc.

Well just erase your email from that screen and send it out.
They will put their apple id in order to activate it.
Its not like they have your itunes password and cant do anything with your email address.

Oh, I misread his post. He's talking about at the iTunes screen. Seems weird. I'd see if I could change that email address to something like store@apple.com and try to log in with a fake password....maybe the next time it will show that address instead of his.

Still surprised it's there since he cleared all settings.

Why is so difficult to put a DESCRIPTIVE subject/title vs "Please help me"? Imagine if all the postings said this?

They think they are the only one with a problem and just plain lack perspective in this case. I don't think they are doing it to be aholes or anything.
