Lol thanks. I have a brand new replacement 4S running 7.04. Do i need to restore or can I just go ahead and jb?

Also, which version do I want? 1.04 or 10.5? Does that correspond to which version of iOS 7 I have? I have 7.04.

What are mirror 1 and 2??? Which do I click, one of those or the 3rd link that says evasion?
How do I download it and "unzip" it into the Pwnage folder???
Is the restore it tells you to do by pressing shift the same as the restore they recommend? Also, do I want 1.0.5 even if I'm running 7.04?

restore your phone if you update over the air, if you didn't then skip this step
then download the evasion jb from any of the linz in the official site (the mirrors are just the same file hosted on different places)so just pick any of them. Use the latest version of evasion which is the one that is going to be on the main page anyways. follow the instrucionts from the app and enjoy the jb.

Is the step I can skip the same step as the "hold shift and restore" or do I have to do that? I tried to and it said I had to turn off find my iPhone and when I tried to it prompted me for my password but the apple id that came up was my old email address, why is that and how do I change it?? God I am so frustrated!

Yes, that is the step you can skip. As far as the find my iPhone thing, is that the same Apple ID you use for the App Store/iTunes Store? Or is that old email address linked up with your Apple ID? If that's not the one you use, I'd sign out and sign back in with the Apple ID that you actually use.
Yeah it's the old email address. How do I sign out and sign back in w my current Apple ID?
Settings>iTunes & App Store. At the top is the Apple ID. Click that and a pop up will appear. Choose sign out. Click again to sign back in.
It's showing that I'm signed in as my current id, I still tried logging out and back in though and it's still promoting me w the old id asking for the password when I try to turn of find my iPhone. Strange.
What do I do if I skip the restore step?

Why are some people telling me to use 1.0.4 and others 1.0.5? Some said 1.0.5 is only for 5S and 5C in Germany and some other country.
Also, my "iPhone firmware ipsw" is not appearing in the Pwnage folder as it says it should be in step 7.
Using either 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 is fine. 1.0.5 just adds support for iOS 7.0.5 but it will work for all versions from 7.0 to 7.0.5
If doing the shift + click restore is too complicated, just click the restore button in iTunes and it will auto download the 7.0.5 ipsw package for you and then proceed to restore the devicw
Cool thanks, I jailbroke earlier went well except for one thing - SwipeNav is not working in messages, can you help me in my other thread about that?
