Theres no firewire in the new iMacs??


I have 4 ULN-8 audio interfaces from Metric Halo.

These are $6k a piece, and are FW 400/800 only...

Will I seriously not be able to use these with new iMacs? If we decide to upgrade, or a client has an iMac, are we SOL?

Sorry, I'm just surprised... hopefully there will be a workaround.

Apple sell a thunderbolt to FireWire adaptor.

There are no Firewire ports on the new imac. You need to get a thunderbolt to Firewire adaptor.
