Please see the screenshots. For the Adobe shot, please tell me what application they pertain too. I used to have CS4 installed. Do they have to do with CS4
For the PowerRegister and MindVision shots, what are they? Are they companies? What applications do they make?

Thanks for the help. I searched Google and didn't find anything.

How did you find these folders? Were they in the ~/Library/Application Support folder or what?

As for the Adobe folder, it could be for CS4. It could also be for Adobe Acrobat Reader or maybe Flash. I'm not sure about the other two folders.

Where did you find those files? Those are probably from apps that you've installed and maybe uninstalled in your mac but left there after the installation.Use an app like app trap or appzapper in order to get rid of them every time you want to delete an app.

I found them in: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/ THE FOLDERS

The Adobe one is what I am thinking about most. What is Adobe PDF? Is it Adobe Acrobat?

Also, if the folders are empty, are they safe to remove?

Yeah, you can delete them as long as there is absolutely nothing in them. If an app needs the folders, it will recreate them and that should shed some light as to where they are coming from.

I'm almost certain that the Adobe PDF folder has to be something associated with Adobe Acrobat.

The folder that takes up a lot space is "Colors". Does this belong to the system, Adobe CS4 or something else? Can someone else check this out?

Actually, it looks you found them in Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/. I have them too (and don't have any Adobe products installed). I wouldn't recommend deleting the non-empty folders. Color profiles (which are in the Color folder) are useful to Adobe, except Adobe AIR.

mindvision are the creators of the VISE installer software, some programs come with it. For instance they are part of the anti-piracy on some software, like protools i think

check out the website- see if you have any of their apps installed, if so i wouldnt recommend deleting that folder.

One of the reasons i don't like adobes way of doing things is cos the apps install folder directorys all over the place.. lol :D

I never remember installing Vise for sure. Do you know any application names that come with this?

It's Adobe for sure...

As others have said, if you delete them, everything should be okay. But, at the same time, the specific application that made them the first time will most likely recreate them (if used).

i know that protols by digidesign does.. according to a google and wikipedia most apps are installed via apples installer now.

So im not too sure..
