Hello
There is a cydia tweak called SMS Signature which allows there to be signature in the messages app. It has not been updated to work on iOS 6 . I have tried contacting him but have gotten no response. It is a very very simple tweak I have looked at it myself I just don't know anything about objective c. I have tried but I am waiting. Basically just download it, look at it and see what needs to be updated and send me it updated. Please and thank you. Reply if you can help me.

It's probably unlikely someone here will update the app for you. But an alternative is BiteSMS. It has this feature (plus a boatload of others). There's a free, ad supported version, but in all honesty, it's an app well worth the asking price. Buying a license will remove the ad banner plus support future development. I love BiteSMS. One of my all time favorites.

Is it another whole messages app or does it add to the native message app? I want it to be in the native.

It's a whole different messages app

Edit: you should be able to disable all the bells and whistles you don't want.

The reason why I first tried about biteSMS was for its auto retry feature because signal on campus is horrible (but turns out this feature was in iOS 5 and has not been brought over to iOS 6).

Like you, I wanted to stick with the native messages app but only have this one feature. I disliked all the other features and attptws to disable practically everything but I soon fell in love with the quick reply and quick compose feature

I ended up purchasing biteSMS and it's an amazing texting app. Give the free version a try (has all the features except the ability to theme biteSMS, copy messages from convo to clipboard, and has the "ads" bar at the bottom in your conversation list) before you doubt it
