Can someone recommend an affordable but decent DVD burner to use first to back up my powerbook periodically and perhaps for some oral history/digital story production as well?

better back up strategies?

If you want an internal one, http://www.mcetech.com has internal drives for all recent Macs, including the PB G3 and G4.

You can get faster firewire drives as well, but I'm not sure what the best place is.
