I'm planning to rip the simpsons series (huge project ) for my iphone (coming soon) using handbrake, i want to make sure i used proper settings before i rip all of them.

so i'm wondering if anybody here could download the 26 second video (only 4Mb) and see it works on their iphones... thanks so much!!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)

I tried at first seemed not working them started but no volume

just choose 'iphone/ipod touch' from the list of presents on the right sidebar of handbrake.

that's what i chose, except i set the target size as 200Mb for each episode and the output to be 640x480 (since i will be watching it on my mac too), also i checked 2-pass encoding & turbo first pass

really no idea why there is no audio...

Would you try it again? I just updated the video with the preset w/o much customization, still the same link above. thanks!!

Two random notes

1) Did you download the new Handbrake that came out this week? (Leopard only.)

2) Experiment with smaller file sizes. That looks pretty stellar. I bet you can shave a few more bits off the data rate and not even notice. They'll be small numbers, but if you're going to encode all 400+ episodes, you'll eventually notice a difference!

1. right, i downloaded the latest release which is leopard only.

2. thanx for the advice, i'm now setting the size of each episode to 200Mb. i guess i could make it 100Mb (hopefully not too much loss in quality) which would save 40Gb :p
