If someone were to steal my Time Machine drive, could they simply plug it into their Mac running Snow Leopard and have access to all the data on it?
Or is their some kind of security to prevent it from being used on anyone else's computer?
 
Google "FileVault". Otherwise, yes, your data is available to anyone, just like the data on your computer itself.
 
Yeah I know a little about it, but it only protects my home folder, nothing else (I think).
