I recently bought a MacBook Pro 15" i7 base model (AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5) because I was told at an apple store that there really isn't anything that I'd need the bigger graphics card for...even gaming/photoshop. Well, I'm looking at getting Star Wars: KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) from the app store. The 6490 is not on the list of supported video cards, though the AMD 6750 from the 2.2 model is on the list. Can anyone confirm that KOTOR will not run on my mac? Thanks!

I think the question asked if the game was playable at all rather than "GPU POWER",Honestly OP i think the game will work

It works. I downloaded this game and I have the same base model as you. I haven't played much of it but it definitely plays. Hope this helps :)

You'll have no problems at all.. Get it downloaded and then come back here to let us know it works fine. The graphics on KOTOR as pretty old skool..
