Hi, i'm just wondering if the iPad Pro Smart Keyboard can be used laying down when either in bed or on the settee like normal laptop can?

I've tried Googling but can only find an article saying how its more comfortable than the Surface Pro when used on the lap, and i have the impression the author meant sitting up.

Many Thanks. :)

Yes you can use it in lap comfortably but you need to kee it steady . At times I have felt like it may fall down :)

Yes. I had the Logitech, which I returned yesterday... But this Apple Smart Keyboard is a lot better in all respects. Works perfectly on the lap. Big fan.

It's very stable with a firm, stiff bottom all under the keyboard and iPad.

I wish the keyboard came out a bit more than it does. I like to cross my legs, and it's a bit annoying.
I have mine on something similar to this : http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FZM9AW2/ref=twister_B00NBYHLPY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It works great for me. I love the keys and how they indent just a little. It's an amazing product, and apple made it better by giving us the little things that matter!

The magnet is pretty strong holding in the pro when in "keyboard mode". I can be top heavy though so watch out for tipping over.

Yes it works very well. As someone else mentioned, a steady lap is necessary as it can be top heavy and seem like it will fall.

Enjoy! I love mine!

meh, ive used my pro with the logitech on the back of a shotmaker (internet search if you care) to log things on an app and, even with the vibrations and sitting on an apple box, it held up just fine. o_O
