I recently got a new Mac Mini M2 with Ventura. I have noticed that the Photos app Version 8.0 seem to have fixed a major thorn in my side, I.E., "Mac Photos not sorting in chronological order". Is there some way to get that functionality on older versions of MacOS. I still have older systems that can't be upgraded to Ventura. I know that Photos is built into MacOS and I'm guessing Apple has no incentive to back port any fixes to older versions.

I know this is a long shot, but thanks for looking.

Probably not I am afraid. Apple is very restrictive with running newer apps in older OSes (and vice versa for their built-in apps) and you'd need to overcome a few hurdles to potentially make it work. The minimum version it'll run on is 13.0 and even if you could delete the Photos app from the older Mac you'd have to find a way to edit the newer copy, which isn't likely to work. There's a chance it will rely on frameworks only found in the latest OS.

Thank you for the quick reply!
Sigh, I was pretty sure that was the case.
