I plan on bringing in my Macbook pro to the Apple store for an exchange and want to know if the box will fit in my backpack? I won't get it until Tuesday. I have a Northface recon backpack. What are the dimensions and do you think it can fit?

Don't sweat it, it will fit like a condom!:D

If it fits, it's pretty doubtful you'll get it to zip up. You're going to have a rigid rectangular backpack...

As long as thieves won't be able to see it, I am fine with that... better than carrying it in a shopping bag right?

Just wrap the box in something, that way no one will know what it is. A friend of mind had this done before so his new mac wouldn't get stolen.

I haven't bought a MBP in a few years but if the boxes are as big as they used to be, I doubt it would fit in a backpack. I would put it in a bag and guard it with my life. :D

Wrapping the box makes sense too! I didn't think about that.

i just want to see the responses to this :p

apple should start providing brown paper to wrap your newly purchased products in...

if you are saying that you are waiting for the macbook pro to come in the mail and then are going to exchange it. Just dont open the plain cardboard box it comes in. No one will know it is a computer.

After setting mine up I put it back in the brown boring looking box to take on the bus home.

I highly doubt it will fit in a backpack unless your backpack is HUGE!
