I have a fantasy that I can use the iPad Pro pencil to highlight just as I would a yellow highlighter marker. This way I can have complex photography software books in iBooks and mark them up just as I would a hard copy of the book. I find highlighting with a finger swipe not as convenient and would prefer to use the pencil.
Does it work that way? Many thanks!

Yes, just tap a word with your pencil and hold, a bubble comes up with several options as to what you wish to do, i.e.; highlight, copy, share, make a note etc.
