Can the rMBP run at 1440x900 non-Retina resolution?

I know you can get it to run at 2880x1800 non-Retina resolution (for maximum real estate while making text extremely tiny) via a hack...

What about 1440x900 the non-Retina resolution? So each logical pixel would be displayed using 4 pixels of the Retina display.

Can it be done?

I mean, if you want to get the same performance as the regular MBP while sacrificing the Retina quality, this would be a nice option.
