Can the SuperDrive burn 99-minute CD-R discs?

Before I shell out for them, I'm wondering if a MacBook Pro SuperDrive is capable of burning to 99-minute CD-R discs. If I recall, my specific SuperDrive is branded Matshita. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. If the built-in hardware can't handle it, does anyone know of an external unit (USB, FireWire) that can?
