Just pulled my logic board and found a mess of thermal paste.
I don't know what those little components on the CPU are, but is it ok for thermal paste to be on it?

This is really, really common with Macbook Pros.

It might cause some heating problems if your temps get past a certain point, but for the most part it won't drastically affect your computer. It's very possible to just reapply the paste yourself, if you want to; it should reduce your temperatures by a bit.

I wouldn't be worried about the paste "ruining" any part of your logic board, though.

It won't cause Any Problems, i recommend Replacing the current paste with some fresh paste, It will keep it cooler. as for the paste on the little things, you can wipe it off with a paper towel if your worried, just don't pull them off, and make sure it didn't leave any paper behind. When Putting new paste, try to get all the old paste off from the heat sync and GPU/CPU.. Good luck!
