Hello everybody,

Recently i was searching for a cheap iPhone on various internet auction websites and I found somebody who sells his old iPhone 2G

He writes: I'm selling my iPhone which I've imported from the USA in 2007.... After a failed try to upload it (I think he tried Jailbreak or something similar), it couldn't connect to iTunes anymore, besides the charging symbol the screen stays black.

This leads to my question: Can you restore this iPhone or is it really broken? The guy who sells it doesn't seem to be tech-savvy. I guess he doesnt know about restoring firmware, dfu-mode etc. but neither do I!
So is there a way to rescue this iPhone and is it worth about 70$?

Greetings
