I'm selling my iPod nano to someone but the buyer wants a proof of purchase.
The only proof of purchase I have is the receipt from the online Apple store.

The problem is I bought my MacBook Pro together with the iPod nano, so they're both on the receipt.

Should I or should I not give the buyer the full receipt? (that contains both the MBP and the iPod)

Stuff that's on there that might be important:
- customer order number
- apple order number
- material codes

why don't you just explain to him about the other item on the receipt and make a copy?

I was indeed planning on making a copy of the receipt ... but that's not a good idea?

Open the PDF you got from the online store in an image editor, black out the info you don't want them to have, save it as a JPG and send it to them. You get to keep the original, they get the info and reassurance they want.

Alright, done!

Thanks a lot.
