Can U help me get the most from my setup?

Here is what i have:

Ipad New (coming soon)
ATV New (coming soon I hope)
Tivo
Over Air Tv Reception
Wireless-b,g, n router. (up to 6 Mbs connection)
TV.
Nikon D5100

The only Apple toy I ever owned is a primitive ipod shuffle that occasionally was hooked up to itunes - other than that I been a low tech guy looking for a more snazzy interfaces and content with what i currently have. Any ideas?

use AirPlay to mirror the iPad to the TV and and the rest is just a matter of getting the right apps and the right content. Enjoy!

Tivo or ATV or both

Will ATV give me Over The Air (OTA) content, how limited is the selection; this would give me the option to drop Tivo from the setup if ATV can give me the same content instant access. The content is not Cable or satelittle anyway-should be free with ATV, is that right?
